Poor referee decisions from Nlepna David, referee of the match PWD Vs Coton were sufficient for the cotonites to walk away from Bamenda with a point.
PWD Social Club of Bamenda had taken the lead at the 11th minute of play when Frank Balla Atangana was brought down in the penalty area.
Team captain Burinyuy Derrick stepped up to beat goalkeeper Daouda Baleri Ibrahim thus giving PWD the lead.
After the goal, the both teams would mount several offensives but failing to make good use of their efforts.
Kenneth Edet Ndifon proved to be a dangerous man to mark for PWD as he made several incursions in Coton’s half of the field.
In the second half of the match, PWD continued it’s domination and had a clear penalty waved away by referee Nlepna David to the disappointment of fans and team officials who expressed their disgruntlement.
Two minutes after the penalty appeal, Sali II Boubakary was shown a straight red card for a violent conduct on Njang Romeo.
A throw-in from the right flank of the field and a cross caused goalkeeper Rodrigue Zame to send the ball in the back of his own net to make it one goal on either side.
At the end of the match, it took the intervention of the forces of law and order to take the referees out of the field.
The draw keeps PWD Bamenda and Coton Sport FC at the third and second position with 37 and 39 points respectively.
