The captain of the intermediate lions of Cameroon, Mark O’ojong Nkongho has reassured the football loving Cameroon public that he and his teammates will achieve great things at the upcoming African Nations championship that Cameroon will host in April 2020.

The 22 year old midfield metronome has captain Yves Clement Arroga’s team in their recent friendly games, and was solid in the middle of the park in their 2#0 win over the national selection of Chad in Yaoundé, on Saturday.

Speaking to the press after the game, Mark O’ojong was satisfied with his sides display, and says more is still in the pipeline.

” it was a nice day for, the atmosphere was great. Everything that we practice during the training sessions, happened today the right way and I’m so grateful”.

Asked about future preparations ahead of the African Nations championship that is less than three months away, O’ojong added “I believe with the team that we have, we are going to do great things. With the potential that we have, I believe that during the CHAN, we are going to do better things. We keep working for the best of tomorrow”.

The Bamboutos midfielder has been in great form since his return to the country, and is in contention to making Yves Clement Arroga’s final list for the CHAN, in what will be his second CHAN with Cameroon. O’ojong was part of Cameroon’s team during the 2016 edition of the competition in Rwanda, when he was still in the books of Yong sports Academy of Bamenda.

After spells with Seattle Sounders FC and San Antonio FC all in the United States, he returned to the country and joined the Mangwa boys and now seemingly unstoppable by intermediate lions coach, Yves Clement Arroga.
