One of football powerhouse in the early 1980s, Cammark FC is back in the football atmosphere in the country. The team has been officially registered into the Mezam 3rd divisional football championship.
The immediate objective of the club is to return to the elite one football championship in Cameroon within a period of five years. Should that happen, the old age rivalry that existed between Cammark FC Bamenda and PWD Bamenda will be reignited.
Cammark FC Bamenda was one of the football clubs that drew a lot of support in the early 1980’s with players like Massing Benjamin, Sorobai, Sinju, Kah Mua, Manga Alabinda and Pa Ebong all of blessed memory. Others include Ekeme Ndiba Samuel, Tabi Khassara, Nana Bob Njiki, Alfred Fielding, Joe Oumarou, Kubu George, Nguti Fidelis, Ashu James, Dwalla Phillip and Kum Charles.
Some of the former executive included late Pa Nzounkekang and Fon Doh Gagwanyin of Balikumbat.
The club will be managed by some former players like Alfred Fielding, Ekeme Ndiba, Dwalla Phillip as well as Tinwa William, Isaac Tita, Tabi Khassara, Nana Bob Njiki, Lawyer Soppo Ngwa, and a host of others. The return of Cammark FC Bamenda in the Mezam 3rd divisional championship will bring some hope to many supporters of the team.
Cammark FC Bamenda was created in 1982,the club participated in the Interpools in 1984 but was later dissolved in 1990.
