Club’s taking part in the Cameroon women’s league have threatened to boycott league games after day nine action, should the football authorities fail to meet up with their demands, which are the payment of the second installment of their subvention and providing clear explanations on the situation of players salaries.

Representatives of the clubs taking part in the league met in a meeting in Yaoundé on Friday evening, and unanimously agreed that after day nine games scheduled for Sunday December 08, 2019, they will not be going back in the field of play, until their demands are met.

According to reliable sources, Nine resolutions were arrived at during meeting, Amongst which, was the fact that matches in Bamenda should be played only on Wednesday’s and sunday’s for security reasons, matches programmed for the FECAFOOT technical center in Odza should be played at the annex one and two stadiums, the clubs are also asking for their own share of the returns from Cameroon’s participation at the women’s world cup, the redefinition of the women’s cup with a proposal of  a tripartite meeting between MINPROFF, LFF, and the clubs, amongst others.

Out of the 12 women’s league club’s, only Louves Minproff, Caiman and Ebolowa FC, were absent from Friday’s meeting. For Caiman, the team is currently traveling to Maroua, where they will play AS Diamare on Sunday.

A check worth 33.5m handed to women’s league club’s by FECAFOOT’s president before the start of the season

Before the start of the season, the Cameroon football federation on Monday October 7, 2019, handed a check worth 33.5 millions to the clubs. The 33.5 millions was to be shared amongst all the 12 clubs, though some club officials told that they received just 1,250,000FCFA from the supposed 33.5m, while others admitted haven received 1200,000FCFA, which to them can not even sponsor a single trip to Maroua and back.

The women’s league is eight playing days gone, with match day nine action scheduled for this weekend, with Louves Minproff topping with 24 points. It is still to be seen if FECAFOOT will react before the deadline set by the clubs or if the clubs will stand by their words.
