UMS of Loum

Joel Etogue has recovered from a knee injury picked up two weeks ago against Stade Renard in Day 2 of the ongoing Cameroon League 1 title playoffs and is available for selection this Sunday and coach Laurent Djam could pick him after giving him a start against FAP on Thursday.

Many are of the opinion that UMS of Loum and Cotonsport of Garoua, are the clubs actually in the driving seat in the 2019 Cameroon League 1 title race.

If the above conclusion is anything to go by then the clash pitting UMS Loum to APEJES of Mfou this afternoon at the Stade Annex 1 in Yaounde will be final before the final especially for UMS who must match Cotonsport’s result or must not accept a defeat in order to have a chance of regaining the crown they only won once in 2016.Current holders Cotonsport will take on UMS on the last day of the season.

UMS currently lead the Playoffs with 9 points from 3 games while Cotonsport are on their heels with 7 points from 3 games.

With APEJES on 2 points currently,it is mathematically impossible for the boys of Herman Oumarou Sokba to UMS making today’s game a formality game for APEJES given they have no chance of topping at the end of the season.

Therefore today’s game is more important for UMS and Joel Etogue as closing in on another title success.
