Union de Mouvement Sportive of Loum has taken Command of the title race, in the Cameroon League one championship, following their 2#0 win over Feutcheu FC of Bandjoun.
Two quick fired goals from Ayuk Vidal and Jean Emmanuel Chamdjou at the 8th and 9th minutes, set the ground works for what was going to be a comfortable afternoon for UMS. Ayuk Vidal should have made it three at the 18th minutes, when he missed a one on one with goalkeeper Eric Sadjo.
UMS’ dominance forced Feutcheu into an early substitution, at the 34th minutes, when Richard Ebongue came in to replace Albert Frank Nelle, but the UMS returned to the dressing room, with a two goals lead.
Feutcheu looked more lively in the second segment, with the fleet footed El_Faouzan Salmadini up front, and a stable midfield, with the likes of Richard Ebongue but UMS’ back four Boris Ngosso, Bertin Nguemaleu, Eric Joel Ntieche and Nicolas Joel Owono, never gave them any breathing space.
With much pressure from Feutcheu, coach Laurent Djam brought in Cedric Ngah in the place of Francis Joel Tombi, in what was very much a tactical substitution.
At the 73 minute of play, Jean Simplice Mbang came close to scoring Feutcheu’s first goal of the playoffs, only to see his shot deflect off the woodworks. Feutcheu then effected another substitution, with Deric Deuna Kameni ceeding his place to Yannick Ola’a, as the Bandjoun side desperately searched for their way back into the game.
At the 83rd minutes, Laurent Djam brought in Fred Willy Bofia, in place of Vitus Amougui, as he tried to protect their lead.
UMS 2#0 FEUTCHEU.
⚽🏃 Ayuk Vidal (8th minutes)
⚽🏃 Emmanuel Chamdjou (9th minutes)
UMS has now won three straight games in the playoffs, keeping three clean sheets, and are sure of keeping the top spot, despite the outcome of the other games on Sunday.
For Feutcheu, they are in their worst run in the league this season, with three straight defeats, Four goals concede and zero goal scored. Jean Pierre Fiala Fiala and his boys can already wave goodbye to their title ambitions, and start preparing for the next Football season.
