PWD Social club of Bamenda will be without four key players, as they face Bamboutos FC of Mbouda this Sunday December 1, in a day 10 encounter of the Cameroon league one championship.

Midfielder Mbah Louiz who is just returning from camping with the intermediate lions, picked up a knee injury in one of their games in YaoundĂ© and will not be available for Sunday’s blockbuster.

Meanwhile captain Divine Ngi Mbeh and forward John Paul Nzo Ngong, are down with malaria and will not also be involved when the Mangwa boys comes visiting, just like winger Neloh Kevin who is injured.

These four players have been instrumental for PWD since the start of the season, with Mbah Louiz already having a goal to his name. His commanding displays at the midfield, will be missed by the football loving population of the Northwest region.

To salvage their absences, Coach David Pagou has brought in former Bang Bullet duo Owen Mbeh Mikel and Nyaba Brian in to the match day squad, while goalkeeper Shiynsa  Didemus also makes the match day squad for the first time this season.

Ahudu Lukong missed their last outing in Yaoundé against Fortuna through suspension, but will be available against Bamboutos.

The game this Sunday will be the first meeting between Bamboutos and PWD, in 14 years. The last two games between the two sides dates back to 2005, when PWD defeated Bamboutos 1#0 at the Mankon municipal stadium on the 16 April 2005, and repeated a similar 1#0 win over Bamboutos in Mbouda, on August 8, 2005.

Bamboutos comes into Sunday’s game ranked third on the league’s table with 13 points, and are on a run of three winless games, while PWD is ranked 15th, with 11 points, just two points separating both sides.

It is also a game between two most populated sides in terms of fans, making it a veritable contest and simply a no miss.
