Former PWD goalkeeper Julius Fumlah Atengong made his debut for Colombe sportif of the Dja and Lobo in their 2#5 defeat to Bamboutos FC of Mbouda in the 2019/2020 league one opener.
It was rather a near disastrous debut for the goalie, as goals from Rene Ndi, Hansi Muller (X2),Ulrich Pange Lobe, and Achille Namekong, condemned Julius to his highest number of goals conceded in a single game, since he started playing in Cameroon’s elite championships.
In an exclusive with kick442.com, Julius admitted that he was not at the top of his game. He said “it was not really a good game for me today. It was a really bad game, but we have to keep on working hard not to concede in our upcoming matches”.
Julius completed the switch from PWD to Colombe in the recent transfer window, and is gradually coming to terms with life in the South region.
” Life there is somehow tough, but we have to keep on moving “.
Last term, Julius Atengong made 16 appearances for PWD in all competitions, keeping seven clean sheets. Julius and his Colombe teammates will be seeking redemption, when they face Avion Academy of Nkam in a midweek fixture.
