Barely 10 days after the end of the 2019 Cameroon League 1 season which saw UMS of Loum win the title,online portal have this Tuesday completed all technical analysis and picked the following players as the best performing players per their position over the course of the season.

The best XI include;


Haschu Kerrido 7.5/10 (Dragon)

He featured in all but one of Dragon’s games of the just ended season.
He kept 7 clean sheets and his reflexes in keeping out shot on target plus his distribution ability was the best thing about him in the just ended Season.


Right Back: Bawak Etta Thomas (Cotonsport)

Bawak had a great debut campaign at Cotonsport of Garoua.

The little man with big heart has been arguably the best full back in the top flight Championship in Cameroon in the last two seasons.

The Versatile and performant right back for Cotonsport of Garoua in the 2019 season,Bawak has missed just 1 League game this season. He started 20 matches for Cotonsport of Garoua this season providing 3 assists in the competition.

On a scale of 10 Bawak got 7 points for his output this season.

Left Back: Serge Andoulou (Cotonsport)

The left back enjoyed an excellent 2019 season though without a trophy.
Andoulou was a regular in the Cotonsport team and played all but 2 games this season,he provided 6 assists and scored 2 goals in 19 League games.

Andoulou was booked once,he is one of the most discipline defender in the just ended season.
He earned an average score of 7.5/10 this season.

Center Back: Nkuissi Thomas Legrand (Stade Renard)

The very physical and intelligent Center half has been one of the bright lights of the Melong based club in the just ended season.

Central Defender: Bertin Nguemaleu.

He was a regular alongside Landry Djomo in a UMS team that conceded only 8 goals in the first 16 games of the season before the playoffs and finished the season with the best defense-line that leaked only 10 goals in 21 matches and won the League.

Bertin featured 19 times for UMS Loum and his performances earned him an average score of 7/10 over the course of the season.

Stade Renard’s captain Nkuissi Legrand
Promoted to the rank of team captain in the beginning of the 2019 following his impressive display in the previous campaign.

Nkuissi’s leadership ability has won him fans in and out of the team causing followers to nickname him “Batiment de Melong” This season he was very involved in his club’s run of 9 games without defeat n led the best defense in the championship with just 7 goals conceded in the first 16 matches in the league.

He didn’t just defend well for his side,he also gets the goals for his team.

He scored two league goals for Stade Renard in the just ended season.
He gets 7.5/10 for his output this season.


Jean Nicolas Abanda Koa(UMS of Loum)

The creative Midfielder was the beginning of good things in the heart of the UMS midfield over the course of the season.

Abanda featured in all UMS Loum games this season and scored twice including the first goal that set UMS on their way to glory I the playoffs game against Dragon.

Joel Etogue(UMS)

One of the most experienced in the UMS team this season,Etogue kept the Midfield steady over the course of the season,he missed 5 games for different reasons but whenever he was in the team,he made the difference.

His intelligent intervention and pass set UMS on their way to scoring the lone goal against Stade Renard and prepared UMS for a serious title challenge.

Joel featured 16 times as a holding Midfielder and his output give him a score of 7/10


Kamilou Daouda 8/10 (Cotonsport)

Arguably one of the best foreign player in the modern Cameroon League, Kamilou has created his memories in the heart of Cotonsport and Cameroon football fans.

This season he has scored 11 league goals beating Ekollo Malolo to the golden boot title.

He featured 19 times and got 9 assists to add to his 11 goals.

This season, Kamilou Daouda won the Golden boot for the 4 time in 9 full seasons in Cameroon.

Ekollo Malolo 7.5/10 (Dragon)

He was one of two main men in the Dragon team in the 2019 season.

Malolo got 10 of Dragon’s goals in the course of the season and provided 6 assists in 19 games.

Dragon always looked different without their captain.

El Faouzan Salmadini-7/10 (Feutcheu FC)

The young forward tormented many defenders through out the season.He was one of the strength of Feutcheu FC of Djiko and one of the reasons why the club finished at the top of Pool B at the end of the group stage of the Championship.

He scored thrice and provided 5 assists in 18 games this season.

Arnaud Sibiri-7.5/10 (Cotonsport)

He was one of the main men for the Cotonites this season. Though he only arrived in January he managed 7 goals and 4 assists in 18 League games.

He earned an average score of 7.5/10


Laurent George Djam 8)10 (UMS)

He guided UMS of Loum to the club’s second league one title edging Cotonsport of Garoua by a point.

His success wasn’t what was predicted by many and he also became the first coach to start and finish the season at the club since their promotion to League 1 in 2014.
