Dragon Sportive of yaounde has beaten AS Matelots of Douala 1#0, in a 16 final game of the Cameroon cup.

It was largely a quiet half an hour, as the two sides tried openings in both ends. At the 27 minutes, goalkeeper Zacharie Nyebel of Matelots pulled a stunning save to prevent Jean Jude Etele’s free kick.

Matelots came close to opening scores at 45th minutes, when Christian Bayokolak got Haschou Kerrido beaten, only to be denied by the woodworks. The two sides will then retire to the dressing room, with a virgin score line.

It took Dragon just 12 second half minutes to raise the curtains, when substitute Orel Roussel Njanga headed home Cabe Moukoko’s free kick.

Emmanuel Mbongo Ewangue, Jean Jude Etele and Orel Roussel Njanga kept knocking in Matelots box, but could not find a way pass goalkeeper Zacharie Nyebel.

At full time, the Cha Cha Cha boys pick up the essentials, qualifying for the 8th finals. Coach Patrick Ondobo rested most of his first teamers, as he prepares for a crunch Playoff game on Sunday, against Cotonsport.
