Cameroon League two side, Foncha Street FC of Bamenda have secured the services of a new coach ahead of the 2020/2021 football season. Coach Njiki Simplice put pen on paper Sunday September 13, 2020 in a brief ceremony that took place at the club secretariat in Bamenda. He takes over from coach Armand Bomono who left the team at the end of his contract.
Coach Armand Bomono guided the club in the second segment of last season, but it took the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic to get amnesty to avoid relegation.
Coach Njiki Simplice prior to his coming to Bamenda was assistant coach of AS Fortuna. He has previously work with Fovu of Baham, Fauve Azur Elite, Feutcheu FC, National Polytechnic of Bamenda.
From a fairy tale ride in the North West regional league and a scintillating run in the 2019 national interpools in Bertoua, where Foncha Street FC booked a place in the elite two championship but failed to live up to expectations.
The experience of coach Njiki Simplice in the Cameroon elite championship is a first step in the right direction for Foncha Street FC, who are setting their eyes on grabbing one of the tickets for the elite one championship next season.
The 43-year-old former National Polytechnic of Bamenda coach is a client of Africa Sports management and is not a stranger to this type of job.
