Foncha Street FC got their first ever ticket to the national interpools and it’s no secret to credit their success to Coach Anumewa Frankline.
Anumewa Frankline us sports and physical education tutor (PEPS) and a graduate of INJS. In just his first season as head coach of Foncha street, he has guided the team to the eighth finals of the Cameroon cup, and Champions of the Northwest region. The coach who is noted for his animative coaching from the touch line, was overwhelmed by his sides exploits this season. “It is a dream come true because Foncha Street FC have been playing the regional final for the past three years, but this year, we have made it”, Anumewa told kick442.com shortly after his sides win over Rainbow.
During the 2017/2018 football season, Anumewa Frankline was deputy coach of Rainbow FC, and had a taste of the national interpools. Rainbow failed to win even a single game in the interpools that year, but Anumewa is now ready to create history with Foncha Street FC. “I had the experience last time with Rainbow.
This year, we have played the cameroon cup where we reached the eighth finals, so I believe we are going there to come back with an elite two ticket”.
In 2019 at the All Varsity games in Dschang, coach Anumewa Frankline won the gold medal with the male football team of UBa and was decorated coach of the tournament, just now when he was voted best coach of the Northwest regional League, but Anumewa says his watcwords are “hard work and God’s will”.
Anumewa Frankline might have ended his career as a Footballer very early, but is already making great strides amongst the young coaches in the country.
