Riziere Football club was a late addition into the national interpools, following a decision from the appeals committee of FECAFOOT, last Thursday, to sanction Volcan du Noun.
Riziere only arrived Bertoua on Saturday morning, and in their opening game, they were hammered 4#1 by Ngoundere FC. Speaking to kick442.com after the game, Coach Jounedou Ndam attributed his sides defeat to fatigue. “I think the defeat came because of fatigue, you know the judiciary decision was delayed and it was on Thursday evening that the decision was made known, and immediately we took off from the west region and it’s only this morning at 5:30am that we arrived Bertoua”.
“The boys didn’t have enough time to recuperate. The first half was not the same like the second half, because in the second half, our opponents put more weight on us. In our next two games, we will do better”, said Ndam.
The coach all revealed that must of his players had already left camp, because they had already lost hopes. He however congratulated his boys, for not conceding a heavy score “I did some changes to contain the pressure from the opponents. I congratulate the boys because they avoided a too heavy score, because we could have conceded more five goals”.
Asked if his team can still make it to the league two, Coach Jounedou Ndam added “we will put all in place to win our next two games and also hopping that our other group members who won today, can also lost”.
Riziere will next play Olympique FC of Biwong Bane on Tuesday August 27, in a must win game for the two sides, given that both teams suffered defeats on day one.
