The 2019 National interpools kick off this Saturday in Bertoua, in the East region of the cameroon. Amongst the 10 teams to take part in this year’s event, is Kohi club of Maroua.
The representative of the Far North region will enter the competition on Sunday, when they take on host Stade FC of Bertoua. Earlier on Saturday, Kohi held a training session at the Bertoua municipal Stadium.
Speaking to kick442.com, the captain of Kohi, Amades Pierre revealed their readiness, to conquer pool C where they are logged, and return to Maroua with a league two ticket.
“Kohi is ready, we have done everything, and morally, we are ready to win a league two ticket. We are 100 percent ready to beat any opposition we will face”, said Amades.
The 23 year old captain believes with the determination within his team, it gives extra motivation. “with our attackers, we will score the needed goals. We have confidence in ourselves, the president and the coaches have given us all the confidence and as the captain, I can say we are ready for the challenge”.
The former Sahel, and Espoire of Maroua man, will be leading the troops on the green turf, with the hopes of doing what Ajax of Maroua failed to do last year. “It was a dream for me to play the interpools. Now I’m realizing my dreams and we will show to our elder brothers of the past years that their junior ones can do what they could not do”.
Kohi club plays Stade de Bertoua in the first of the two games scheduled for Sunday afternoon, and their last group will be against legendary PWD Kumba, later in the week.
