The head coach of AS AWA FF Hassan Balla Ibrahim, has been crowned the best coach of the Cameroon women’s Guinness Super League.
The tactician who helped AS AWA to clinch the league trophy in the just ended campaign, received his recognition during the first edition of the Guinness Super League Awards night that took place at the Hilton Hotel in Yaoundé.
With competition from the likes of Mike Ndoumou and Amazone FAP and Oudou Kpoume of Louves MINPROFF, Hassan Balla outsmarted them for win the trophy, with Ndoumou and Kpoume finishing second and third respectively.
“It was not easy, because I had lot of serious challengers, but God permitted me to win this award,’ Hassan Balla told the press.
“It was the first edition of the awards and we all know that from the start, there is always one or two things new. I hope they will try to see what they can improve on before the next edition,’ the tactician reacted to the general organization of the event.
Hassan Balla helped AS AWA FF win the Guinness Super League with 56 points, keeping an unbeaten run throughout the season.
“We had a great season, no team marched our records. It is my third time winning the best coach award, I did same in 2013 with Caiman, last season during the OG7 Awards, I won it again. I give thanks to God for all the success”.
Coach Hassan Balla Ibrahim and his AWA FF team constituted majority of the Award, with four of his players featuring in the best XI of the season, while youngster, Brenda Tabe finished runner up in two different categories.
