The head coach of Foncha Street FC of Bamenda, Armand Bomono is confident that the experience of their new signing, Kongnyuy Jude, can bring back his team to winning ways.

Foncha Street FC suffered a fresh defeat on Saturday afternoon at the FECAFOOT Technical Center in Odza to FAP of Yaounde. Three first half goals from Guy Bertrand Dinga and Belinga, secured all three points for the Forces Armee et Police, despite Jean Claude Laimo’s double for FONCHA STREET.

Speaking to the press after the game, the coach of the Bamenda based club, Armand Bomono said he is going to build from the positives noticed in that game.

“We will continue to work, and hoping to get our first win since I took over. We just have to get to work and see what went well today, and what went wrong”, said Armand Bomono.

Since he took over the helm of the team following the sacking of Anumewa Franklin, Foncha Street has played four games, recording two draws and two defeats. The game against FAP , showed that much work at need to be done, for FONCHA STREET to attend its prime.

“My players gave too much respect to the opponent (FAP). We conceded two careless goals due to naivity, though the referee’s lack of communication with his assistant did not also help matters for us. But I insist that there is still much work to be done”.

Foncha Street returns home to Bamenda, where they will host Fauve Azur earlier next week. Omarou Sokba and his Fauve Azur boys are in blistering form, but Coach Armand Bomono says they will see how to correct their errors before the next game, though he regrets that ghost towns in the Northwest region, have been a hinderence to their training.

Discussion the recent addition of experienced forward, Kongnyuy Jude into his squad, the tactician said Jude’s experience in front of goal, will be instrumental for his team going forward.

“We suffered at the level of finishing. We hope that his experience will bring us what we have been waiting for”.

Many new faces were spotted in Foncha Street’s squad against FAP, with new additions like Silus Nginyu Mungala, Constantine Che and former EEMSA man Fontem Fonkeng all making their debuts. Kongnyuy Jude’s deal was finalized late for him to feature in that game, but the former YOSA, union and PWD man will definitely be ready when Fauve Azur comes visiting. Jude finished last season as PWD’s top scorer.
