The Cameroon Football Federation, FECAFOOT has announced that it has suspended all it’s competitions, amidst growing concerns over the outbreak of the Coronavirus.
According to a press release signed by the president of the Cameroon Football Federation, Seidou Mbombo Njoya in the evening of Tuesday March 17, 2020, all competitions organized under the auspices of FECAFOOT throughout the national territory will be suspended till further notice.
This decision affects friendly games, the professional league one and two championships, the women’s championship, the amateur league’s, the youths championships, Cameroon cup, Beach soccer and futsal.
This decision from FECAFOOT came just hours after the Cameroon government announced a series of measures to curb the spread of the Coronavirus. The Cameroon Football Federation joins many other football federations, that had already put a temporal stop to their sporting activities.
