27_year_old Young Boys Bernes and Cameroon forward, Jean Pierre Nsame, has declared that he is ready to honor any future called up into the Cameroon national team.

Jean Pierre Nsame has been one of the hottest strikers in Europe and is much solicited by clubs in some top league’s in Europe. Unfortunately, Nsame has not really had the opportunity to carry his form at club level to the National team.

The former Angers man has played just 64 minutes of football with the Indomitable lions of Cameroon, in a 1#1 draw against the super Eagles of Nigeria at the Yaounde Omnisport Stadium on septembre 04, 2017, in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA world cup.

Since then (three years), Nsamé has had multiple call ups without getting a chance to play, and was left out of Cameroon’s squad for the 2019 AFCON in Egypt. The talented forward has however kept his calm and now says he is ready physically and mentally, to honor any call up into the Cameroon national team.

“Yes, things are back to normal. So if a selection is scheduled I will be there physically and mentally”, Jean Pierre Nsamé told, when asked if he will honor a future call up into the lions den. pressed further to find out if he had contacts with the French national selection before opting to represent Cameroon. But Jean Pierre Nsamé was very categorical in his reply.

“No, I have not had any contact with France. I had announced earlier that I will represent the first national team which will contact me. I remain in my position”.

Jean Pierre Nsamé has had an exceptional 2019_2020 season with Young Boys Bernes, notching 38 goals in all competitions. He feels satisfied with his output.

“For a general analysis, I would say the season has been good. Our goal was to be champions, which we are today”.

Nsame has formed a formidable partnership with his Cameroonian teammate at Young Boys Bernes, Nicolas Moumi Ngamaleu, Who on his part has hit 10 goals in 41 appearances this season. Both players have contributed a whopping 52 goals for their club this campaign.

“Nicolas is a very good player, probably the best winger at the club this season. We get along just as well on and off the pitch”, Nsame said of his relationship with Moumi Ngamaleu.

The 27_year_old’s superb form, has attracted interest from across Europe, with Rangers FC, Everton, Tottenham Hotspur and Sain_Etienne, rumoured to be in the cue for his services. The forward who is on contract at Young Boys Bernes till 2023, describes it as mere rumours, though not ruling out a possible move in this summer.
Today, these are just rumours that I have heard. You have information that I do not have. You know today I am not particularly planning myself. It is August 05, tomorrow we will see what the future holds for me”. He added.

“Regarding my future, all inter_European destinations are open”.

Jean Pierre Nsame may be in line to playing an important role in the lions den, when Cameroon host Africa in 2022, should he be given the opportunity by Lion’s head coach, António Conceição . The AFCON was initially scheduled for 2021, but was pushed a year further, due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Nsame like any other Cameroonian, was surprised when the news broke out.

“Like everyone else, I was surprised but we have to follow CAF guidelines”.

Should Jean Pierre Nsame be given a called up in the Lion’s den, it will be a boaster for a team that has struggled in front of goal, in recent times.
