24 year old Fai Gilead Awiyni, has completed a move to Omani First Division League side Al Mudhaibi Sports club.
Gilead, who is a brother to Cameroonian international, Fai Collins, spend last season with PWD social club of Bamenda, where he was a regular throughout the season, making 16 appearances, provided 3 assists and scored one goal (in PWD’s 5#1 win over Kohi club in the Cameroon cup), but now kick442.com understands that Gilead has signed a deal with Al Mudhaibi sports club, that will run till the end of this Football season.
In an exclusive chat with kick442.com, Gilead said “I just want to look for where I can play, and look for a good market. Here we have good stadiums, I hope and trust God that I can get back to my top form. I have talked a lot with the coach and believe it’s going to be a great adventure”
Gilead enjoyed much playing time with PWD of Bamenda during just ended Football season in Cameroon, and remains thankful to fans and management of the team. “To all the fans am happy for their support during my time to get back to my feet. Thanks for the love. Pwd in my ❤ heart forever”, said Gilead.
“God will help me so that one day, I will also make fans to know they had a player from that club”, he added.
Gilead has been training with Al Mudhaibi club for some time now and have scored two goals in three friendlies with the club. His move to The Maroon(s), will see the former Cotonsport man play in front of the crowd at the 34,000 Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex Bowsher. If he keeps his good form in the pre_season, then he is certainly going to be a great addition to coach Anwar Al-Habsi’s squad, as they are looking forward to performing better than their 13th place finish last term in the Omani top flight.
