The Cameroon League 1 championship has always been an attractive working environment for footballers from abroad.
This season, there are 15 Foreign players in the championship.
Cotonsport of Garoua has the highest number of foreign players in the championship this season.
The North Region outfit have six foreign players on their books.
1) Arnaud Sibiri and Aboubakar Konate-Burkina Faso
Forwards Arnaud Sanou Sibiri and Aboubakar Konate are two of the six foreign players.They are from Burkina Faso. The West African nation is the only foreign nation with two players at the club.
Burkina Under 23 International Arnaud Sibiri is regular with the first team.
Both players are in their second season at the club.
2)Aboubakar Konate-Burkina Faso
Just like Sibiri, Konate arrived Garoua after the start of last season and has been in the team since then. He is not a regular as Sibiri but the forward has been there or there about Cotonsport’s Match Day squads.
3) Sadiq Souleiman-Nigeria:
The Nigerian forward is in his debut campaign at the club.
He is still to nail a first place in the Cotonsport team. He displayed an impressive performance during the pre-season but is still replicate that in the league.
4) Bassa Djeri Sabairou-Togo
The Togolese shot stopper is in his second season at the club. He has featured in six games this season.
The Togolese international is in his second campaign at the club.
5) Kamilou Daouda-Niger
He is Cotonsport’s all time top scorer and he has been at the club since 2007.
He is the club’s captain and has scored four goals in 13 appearances this season.
He is considered as the greatest foreign player of his generation in the Cameroon League 1 championship.
6) Kalamandji Dihamel-Central Africa Republic:
He is one of the new boys in the cotonites camp. Kalamandji completes the list of six foreign players at the club.
Cotonsport of Garoua has the highest number of foreign players in the championship.
Union Sportive of Douala:
Union Sportive of Douala have two foreign players on their books. Both players are from Tchad.
They are;Romeo Otodjibaye and Serge Diguel.
The former Aigle Royal of Menoua and YOSA midfielder is in his first full season at USD.
He has been a regular at the club but has been involved in Some minutes of his club’s game.
8) Serge Diguel-Chad:
The former Unisport of Bafang And YOSA keeper has a regular in the Union Sportive of Douala team this campaign.
He earned a point for his club last weekend in the league with a late penalty he saved against AS Fortuna.
Panthere Sportive of Nde recently added the Nigerian goalkeeper on their books. He signed a two year deal.
The former Nigerian under 17 international joined Panthere Sportive of Nde from Togolese champions ASCK Kara this January and adds to the club’s foreign contingent.
10) Pierre Botaye-DR Congo
The former AS Vita forward joined Panthere Nde in the build up to the current season and was a regular in the team.
Unfortunately for the forward injury has kept him out of the Panthère team for over a month now.
The experienced forward once starred for AS Vita and caught the attention of some European clubs but he is still to star as expected.

The club can boast of four foreign players on their books.
The Nigerian born defensive midfielder is one of five Nigerian players in the Cameroon League 1 championship. He is not much talked about giving he has not been a regular with the club but he is on the books of the club.
12) Nwanze Emeka-Nigeria:
The Nigerian forward is still to establish as a regular in the Feutcheu FC team this season.
He is one of two Nigerian players at the club.
13) Amoun Emma-Chad:
The Chadian offensive midfielder is one of four Tchadian players in the Cameroon League 1 championship.
Amoun as he is known amongst his mates has not succeeded to nail a starting place in his club’s starting XI but remains one of the players registered by president Joseph Feutcheu this season.
14) Seydou Mamadou Traoré-Malian:
The Malian forward is considered as one of the high profile forwards at the club. He has been brought in during this January transfer window with expectation to add more finest in the club’s attacking options. The 20-year-old former AS Bamako man joins Feutcheu FC from AS SONIDEP.

15) Edeth Kenneth-Nigeria:
The former is currently one of the longest serving players at PWD of Bamenda having been there since the 2018 season when the club was still in the second tier Championship.
The Nigerian forward is not a regular but he gets involved from the bench regularly
Cameroon League One championship remains a good host to multiple foreign footballers from across the world though clubs have a quota of a maximum of five non CEMAC.
13 of the 18 league one clubs do not have foreign players on their books.
