FOVU club of Baham has edged third tier side,Foncha street FC 1#0, in the 8th finals of the Cameroon cup.

Foncha street FC never looked like a third tier side in front of FOVU. The boys of coach Anumewa Franklin looked tactically discipline, with captain Terence Chianian and Germain Ngangui Suh Manning affairs from the back, while Jofack Bright Bassa and Njibero Durell animated the attack.

At the 20th minutes of game, former YOSA goalkeeper, Frankline Shalanyuy pulled an acrobatic save, to prevent Victor Mengue’s goal bound shot.

A score of zero all, will then sanction the first segment. When play resumed for the second half, Foncha street created many scoring opportunities, and Derrick Ngabir nearly opened scores at the 60th minutes, with a flying header.

At the 70th minutes, goalkeeper Frankline Shalanyuy was again called to action, when he save Njongmu Rudolf’s header from point blank.

Substitute Eric Pafong will then hand Fovu the only goal of the game, at the 82nd minutes of the game, when he capitalized on a defensive misunderstanding, to beat the excellent Frankline Shalanyuy.

Fovu therefore pick the second quarter final ticket, while Foncha street’s run which have seen them eliminating Aigle and Renaissance, comes to an end.
