Eding sports of the Lekie has beaten third tier side Jeunesse Athletik Emergente of Obala 7#0, in the first 8th final game of the 2019 Cameroon cup.
Jeunesse came into the game with much confidence, after eliminating Bamboutos of Mbouda and Avion of Nkam, in the 32nd and 16 finals.
The holders displayed their desire to retain their crown with a perfect display against a very good opposition before now.
The first scoring opportunity of game came from Jeunesse Athletik, who hit the goal post just nine minutes into the game through Bitoa Valentin.
Bony Elame and Alphonse Tientcheu will then missed clear cut opportunities to put Eding in front, until the 35th minutes, when the two combined to raise the curtains. Alphonse Tientcheu swingle a cross to Elame, whose left footed drive got goalkeeper Kayou Letizi beaten.
Eding led 1#0 at the break, but it took less than 10 second half minutes for Valentine Beo Batto, to put Eding four goals up.
At the 47 minutes, Beo Batto tapped in from close range, to put the defending Champions two goals, and was again on target at the 50th minutes, after collecting a through ball from Bony Elame. Two minutes later, Beo Completed his hat trick, with a calm finish, after a defensive mix up from Jeunesse Athletik.
Alphonse Tientcheu and Bony Elame combined again at the 72nd minutes, for Bony to put Eding five goals up, and Joseph Momaso made it 6#nil at the 76th minutes, before Bony Elame completed his hat trick at the 78th minutes.
At full time, it was 7#0 for defending Champions, Eding sports of the Lekie, as the book their place for the quarter finals.
For third tier side Jeunesse Athletik Emergente, their fairy tale in the Cameroon cup is over, after they had eliminated Bamboutos and Avion in the previous rounds.
