Bamboutos FC of Mbouda have completed the signing of 22-year-old former Young Sports Academy of Bamenda and Dynamic of Buea midfielder Mark Mkongho O’Ojong on a 1 year deal.

The former Seattle Sounders and San Antonio FC man joins the club considered as “Cameroon’s Barcelona” after spending more than a year out of the game following his return from the US after he suffered an injury.

The versatile midfielder was apart of the Cameroon team that made it to the Quarter finals of the 2016 CHAN competition in Rwanda but experienced a set back in his progress following the knee injury picked up while preparing for the 2018 season with US Soccer League side San Antonio FC.

The former Under 17 Lion has also played for Dynamic FC of Buea, Best Stars Academy of Limbe and Rainbows FC of Bamenda.

O’Ojong joins newly promoted Bamboutos FC of Mbouda and has the potentials to make a case for a regular spot in coach Laurent George Djam’s team when the “Mangwa boys” begin the new season.
