Cameroon international, Nicolas Nkoulou Ndoubena has made his first appearance in over 39 days, in Torino’s 2#3 defeat away to Parma, on Monday night.

Nkoulou started in a back three alongside Armando Izzo and Bremer, but Bremer will last just 29 minutes on the Pitch, after picking up two bookings. Kulusevski put Parma in front at the second minute of the game, but Torino reacted 10 minutes later, through Ansaldi, before Andrea Belotti put Walter Mazzarri’s side in front from the penalty spot, at the 43rd minute.

Andreas Cornelius made sure the two sides went on the break tight at 2#2, when he fired in Parma’s equaliser just before the blast of the half time whistle.

Playing with 10 men, Nkoulou and his teammates were again punished at the 88 minute, when substitute Roberto Inglese handed all three points to Parma.

The defeat leaves Torino on the ninth spot on the Serie A table, with just nine points recorded in six games. It was also the first time Nicolas Nkoulou started and played 90 minutes for Torino in 39 days, since his failed move to AS Roma. The last time Nkoulou played for Torino, was in their 2#3 defeat to Wolverhampton in the Europa league, on August 22, 2019. He was an unused substitute in Torino’s 2#1 win over AC Milan last week, after haven missed five games in all competitions.

Nkoulou was readmitted into Torino’s squad on Tuesday September 17, after his apology letter was accepted by the club. The former Cameroon international has spend two seasons with Torino, making over 74 appearances, and scoring four goals.
