23 year old Cameroon international, Fabrice Olinga Essono, has helped his club Royal Excel Mouscron, to qualify for the next round of the Belgian cup, following a 1#0 win this Wednesday, over second tier side Dessel Sport.

Fabrice Olinga’s goal at the 11 minute of play, was what separated the two sides, as Royal Excel Mouscron progressed to the eighth finals of competition.

Mouscron finished 10th in the Belgian league last year, but coach Bernd Hollerbach and his boys have enjoyed a steady run this term, as they currently occupy the fourth position, with 15 points recorded in eight outings.

Fabrice Olinga has featured in seven of their eight league games, scoring once. His goal against Dessel Sport this Wednesday, takes his tally to two goals in all competitions this season.

There is virtually no time to rest for Olinga and his teammates, as they prepare for a local derby in the Belgian league, against eighth placed Zulte Waregem on Saturday.
