The head coach of Cameroon’s Indomitable Lionesses Alain Djeumfa says qualifying for the fifth and final round is the most task at present and will be his priority rather than the display.

Cameroon host Ivory Coast in the second leg fourth round Tokyo 2020 qualifiers on Tuesday in Yaounde after a goalless draw in Abidjan last Saturday.

“The qualification is the most important. The quality of display will follow’ Alain Djeumfa said.

The Cameroonian gaffer also maintains that he intends to include more youngsters to rebuild the ageing squad. He handed Ange Bawou a maiden start for the senior Women’s national team in between the stick with the Social of Mbam keeper securing a clean sheet.

” Also we are in the process of rejuvenating the team by gradually inserting youngsters. The girls who competed in the last FIFA Women’s World Cup were altogether since 2007.” he added.

The Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon face Ivory Coast for the sixth time in all competitions.

The 2016 Vice African champions hope to maintain their hundred percent home record when the Ivorians come calling.

No team has been able to score in Cameroon since the beginning of the CAF Tokyo 2020 qualifiers.

However, Alain Djeumfa and girls need to be cautious because on a good day, the Ivorians could be an obvious threat. Ivory Coast ousted African Champions Nigeria on away goal rules (1-1) after a goalless first leg in Abidjan.
