Conon sportive football club of Yaoundé have secured the services of Ivorian U23 international forward Frank Tizie for an undisclosed fee from Mouna FC. The center forward signed a one year deal with ten times Cameroon top flight champions and is expected to inject more fire power going forward in the new look Elite one football championship as the club from Nkoldongo seeks to re-established its glory among the heavyweights.
The club unveiled their new recruit to the Cameroonian press yesterday during a traditional pre match presser at its head Quaters in Yaoundé ahead of today’s Match day three.
A club statement from the sporting director (George Sem Abolo) read «If we went to Ivory Coast, it was to seek some international added value in terms of our football Project».
This is clear indication that the leaders intend to keep up the pace with other league heavyweights thus clear intentions of getting back to the top in a season where 21 clubs have been split into two pole with the KPAKUM boys logged in pole B.
Frank Tizie who could feature in match day four of the new season will watch his new team mates from the stands of the Amadou Ahidjo stadium as they clash with Visiting Yong sports Academy FC from Bamenda today in match day three.
