The coach of Solomon Islands U-17 Football team, Stanley Waita has named his 21-man squad that will travel to Brazil for the FIFA U-17 World Cup that starts on October 26th.

It’s the first time the Solomons has ever made it to a FIFA Football World Cup in any age group.

Stanley Waita has included seven new players to his original squad, picking promising players from recent domestic tournaments.

However, the core of his squad is still built around key players such as Raphael Lea’i, Charles Mani, Leon Kofana and Javin Wae.

The team is expected to be in Brazil with the aim of spending at least two weeks there ahead of their opening match against Italy on October 26th.
