The head coach of the Under 17 Lions of Cameroon Thomas has admitted his Cameroon side is in a difficult world cup group but they are ready to put in a shift.

Speaking to the media in the traditional pre-match conference on Saturday, coach Libiih didn’t appear worried about the challenge before him.

“We have always kept to our philosophy, we want to learn. Yes it is true that we are in a difficult group,a group of dead as it always described in football, but we have come a long way. We want to leave an impression while learning.”

It is not strange to hear such words from the ex-Cameroon international. Coach Libiih made near similar outings in Tanzania as Cameroon went pass all huddles to became African champions and earn a ticket for the Brazil expedition.

Cameroon enter the Brazil 2019 world cup party on Monday evening at 20:00 Hours in Vitoria which will be Tuesday morning at midnight in Cameroon.

The Lions face Oceanian side Tajikistan in their first group game before challenging Argentina and Spain later in the group stages.

It is Cameroon’s first participation at the Under 17 FIFA world cup in 16 years and the junior lions have in Liibih a gaffer who played in two world cups. He certainly knows what to tell his players.

Cameroon arrived Brazil on October 2nd for a pre-tournament camp. Since then, they have played 5 friendly games against Brazilian and a Chinese side recording four wins and a defeat.
In all the team has scored 14 goals and conceded 5 in their friendlies in Brazil.

Since winning the AFCON in April 2019,Cameroon has participated at the Semence tournament, the UEFA assists tournament and played against the Under 23 Lions in addition to the games in Brazil.
