Benin Football Federation has resolved that it will continue with all football competitions in the 2019/2020 season from 15 June 2020 should the Covid-19 pandemic situation in the country is handled.
The Federation arrived at that decision during the executive committee meeting of the body that took place Saturday May 9, 2020 and chaired by its president, Mathurin DE CHACUS,kick442.com can report.
During the meeting, the Benin football Federation executive committee members with satisfaction the measures taken by the government. This includes the May 6th decision to maintain the suspension of the various championships.
“In the situation where the hygiene situation related to the Covid-19 pandemic improves and the government relaxes it’s barrier measures by June 15, 2020, the different championships will resume. But if that does not happen, the 2019/2020 sports season will be cancelled”, a portion of the press release from the Benin football Federation read.
The outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic forced the Benin Football Federation to suspend all its football activities since March 19, 2020.
